On February 18,2010 WordPress.com was down for approximately 110 minutes, our worst downtime in four years. The outage affected 10.2 million blogs, including our VIPs, and appears to have deprived those blogs of about 5.5 million pageviews.

What Happened: We are still gathering details, but it appears an unscheduled change to a core router by one of our datacenter providers messed up our network in a way we haven’t experienced before, and broke the site. It also broke all the mechanisms for failover between our locations in San Antonio and Chicago. All of your data was safe and secure, we just couldn’t serve it.

What we’re doing: We need to dig deeper and find out exactly what happened, why, and how to recover more gracefully next time and isolate problems like this so they don’t affect our other locations.

I will update this post as we find out more, and have a more concrete plan for the future.

I know this sucked for you guys as much as it did for us — the entire team was on pins and needles trying to get your blogs back as soon as possible. I hope it will be much longer than four years before we face a problem like this again.

This week the new customer project, the GooLux autopilot, was tried out in first tests. A small group just tests the autopilot now.. The GooLux’s autopilot will be offered as a pure product in several variants.
One  will get even possibility to test the autopilot free of charge for a particular time period, can convince himself of the single feature programmes and possibilities .
Let yourself be surprised how high the number of contacts, which can already use her in the smallest version with the autopilot, will be.
The autopilot is not only a contact manager,  not only a follow-up autoresponder but just worldwide unique the combination of these two functions.
You will not find an equal responder worldwide so far.
So all of us are curious, what tensely expects us at the end of January.

In dieser Woche wurde das neue Kundenprojekt, der GooLux Autopilot, in ersten Tests ausprobiert. Eine kleine Gruppe von Usern testen gerade den Autopiloten auf Herz und Nieren. Der GooLux Autopilot wird als reines Produkt in mehreren Varianten angeboten werden.
Man wird sogar Möglichkeit bekommen, den Autopiloten kostenlos für einen bestimmten Zeitraum zu testen, so kann man sich von den einmaligen Features und Möglichkeiten überzeugen.
Lassen Sie sich überraschen, wie hoch die Anzahl der Kontakte sein wird, die sie schon in der kleinsten Version mit dem Autopiloten nutzen können.
Der Autopilot ist nicht nur in der Funktion Kontaktmanager, auch nicht nur in der Funktion Follow-Up Autoresponder sondern eben einzigartig in der Kombination dieser beiden Funktionen.

One should take the following into account if you engage companies to put links. Google would like that links are booked on a natural way. One should set a few links into the lists so that the construction does not go so fast. One also should avoid to buy links  in a hundredfold way for companies offer that. So  offer these companies interlinking as services as of  20€ to 70€. One runs the risk of being at Google punished, if one does it that way, and be deleted from the index, if one used these machine possibilities. It is still better to do everything by hand to be aware of a slow construction and to put the links on blocks only there and web pages and thematic match the topic of your own and the services of your own.

Folgendes sollte man beachten, wenn man Firmen beauftragt Links zu setzen. Google möchte dass Links  auf natürlichem Wege gebucht werden. Man sollte wenige Links in  Listen und Verzeichnissen setzen, so dass der Aufbau nicht so schnell geht. Vermeiden sollte man auch gekaufte Links bei Firmen die das Verlinken in hundertfacher Weise anbieten. So gibt es Firmen die das Verlinken als Dienstleistungen ab 20 bis 70 € anbieten. Man läuft Gefahr, wenn man es so macht, bei Google abgestraft zu werden und aus dem Index gelöscht zu werden, wenn man diese maschinellen Möglichkeiten genutzt. Es ist immer besser alles per Hand zu machen, einen langsamen Aufbau wahrzunehmen und die Links auch nur dort zu setzen auf Blocks und Webseiten wie auch thematisch zum eigenen Thema und zu den eigenen Dienstleistungen passen.

Nachdem in Skype 3.x die Möglichkeit der Anrufweiterleitung entfernt wurde, ist diese nun in der neuen Version wieder enthalten. Dies erfolgt nach zahlreichen Nutzerbeschwerden. Mit dieser Funktion wird dem Nutzer ermöglicht, ein Skype-Gespräch kostenlos zu einem anderen Skype-Kontakt umzuleiten, währen das Weiterleiten auf einen Festnetzanschluss beziehungsweise auf eine Mobilfunknummer gebührenpflichtig ist.

Nun ist auch das Abmeldetool – der Abmeldelink optimiert worden. Ab sofort wird bei Abmeldung von einer Kampagne, jede Verknüpfung mit anderen Kampagnen angezeigt. So kann man genau auswählen aus welcher Emailserie man sich abmelden möchte.
